- You're Welcome!

I think very few of your questions are not on there, but most are.
A lot of them are out of order, but you can handle that.

Most finches don't sing loudly. One exception is the European Goldfinch, which sings very similar to a male canary and almost as loud. Most finches make beeping or squeaking sounds which are pleasant. They are great birds if you live in an apartment because their low noise level won't bother your neighbors.

If you buy finches, keep them in pairs of even numbers (they don't have to be male/female, you can get two males or two females if you want), because if there is an odd number of finches (like three) one can get picked on or plucked. Also, keep them in a large enough cage or aviary so they can fly around and get their exercise. The cage should be longer rather than higher. Make sure the cage has 1/2" bar spacing so your finch can't squeeze through the bars and escape.

Your bird has injured itself(head or neck) at some time hence the stargazing. and no amount of medication will rectify this ,

So my advice is to save your money unless you have more faith in your vet.

To get it to take the medication best administer with an eye dropper no more than 2 drops at a time. 4x day.

i think brokeNCYDE needs to be taken off though
they came out of my city. i've seen them many times live. they suck live. their music isn't theirs they get it off the internet.
i have no respect for "musicians" who do not make their own music. they are no better than the Hannah Montannah's or Britney Spears' of the world.
Today, like everyday, BrokeNCYDE has destroyed music.
the millionaires aren't much better, but are tolerable lol

i'm guessing your list got cut off?

There really is no particular bird that is better. It depends on what is most important to you in an avian friend. Do you want a bird that talks, or can be tamed, or do you just want him to look pretty inside the cage? Is there a well stocked reputable bird store near you? They should be able to help you compare . (Try to avoid the chain stores). Have you checked out bird channel.com/ bird talk? They have good species profiles. How about a cockatiel instead? Good starter birds and usually temperamentally better than lovebirds. With all types of birds, the general rule with cages is the bigger the better, but make sure the bar spacing is right for whatever type you choose. In addition to ebay, try free-cycle or craigslist for a used cage, but sanitize it and then rinse it well in case the previous occupant was sick.

Lol.

Ignore it.

That sounds really cute, though!

It'll leave in the winter.

If it's bothering you, whatever you do, don't feed it or it will come back!

I have had my Dusky Conure for 17 years and he's a gem. VERY social and with lots of people, not just me. I take him on hikes w/ me and walk around downtown w/ him. He has many people friends who ask about him more than me ;o) He spends some time in his cage, but for the most part, if I'm home, he's out of his cage. He follows me around the house and loves to be petted. He's very playfull too. He's about 6"-7" tall and about 3.5 ounces. Their coloring isn't as vibrant as the Sun Conure, but from what I understand, Dusky's are more social. Bad side: very loud. He's got a shreek that will drive you to drink. They can be very destructive, but if you keep them occupied w/ things they CAN chew on, it cuts down on the damage. Somewhat codependent. He will sometimes "throw a loud fit" if he's in his cage while I'm home. They are very smart tho and so he knows the word "no" very well. He is also potty trained...well, at least 80% of the time. Highly suggest if you want a friendly bird, take a look at Omars Exotic Birds. That's where I got my Dusky. They are in the business of raising high quality exotic birds and are fantastic at it. All their birds are hand raised and socialized from the egg. The rare exceptions are some of the birds they take in to find homes for, but if you're looking for a baby, go to them. They could also make some more suggestions regarding the right bird for you.
